Kamala Harris Has Just 4 Words for Americans on Memorial Day — And They Spark Backlash

Kamala Harris has a message for Americans ahead of one of the most somber and meaningful holidays for gold star families and all citizens who respect veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Ahead of the Memorial Day holiday, meant to be a time of deep reflection and gratitude for our men and women in uniform, Harris issued one of the most casual and unmeaningful statements one could imagine.

“Enjoy the long weekend,” Harris’s official vice presidential account tweeted.

Lest anyone should be confused by the backlash, Memorial Day isn’t about “enjoying” the deaths of American service members. It is about memorializing them. Hence the name of the holiday. Furthermore, it means more than a “long weekend” for those who have lost loved ones who served in wartime or who died while serving in the military.

The tone deaf tweet provoked no small share of criticism.

On Friday, Kamala Harris gave a speech to Navy academy cadets, who were forced to endure cringy ‘Woke jokes’ and her trademark cackle.

That was while President Biden was busy giving creepy comments to little girls in Virginia. Biden had this unspirational message for Americans on the holiday, which he also lacked the respect to name.

“Stay cool this weekend, folks.” This administration really is a piece of work.
