President Biden didn’t strike the figure of a world leader aiming to give calming reassurance to an American people that has been bombarded by alarming reports of Russia invading Ukraine.
On Monday, after a weekend in Delaware, the president strolled awkwardly across the White House lawn while being peppered by questions on the escalating conflict.
Biden was specifically asked if he was ‘worried about nuclear war.’ Watch his disturbing reaction:
Later in the day Biden provided a simple one word answer in passing” no” (update):

Biden was hammered by critics for his decision to ‘flee the capital’ while Ukrainian president Zelensky bravely decided to risk his life to remain with his people in Kyiv.
“The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” Zelensky told the U.S. when he was offered a chance for evacuation.
“Ukrainians are proud of their President,” he added in a tweet. Wish Americans could say the same.
Zelensky also tweeted a video to prove that he was still in the capital of Ukraine.

“I am here. We are not putting down arms. We will be defending our country, because our weapon is truth, and our truth is that this is our land, our country, our children, and we will defend all of this,” he said.
“That is it. That’s all I wanted to tell you. Glory to Ukraine.”
Quite the contrast in leadership at a time of international crisis.
