GoFundMe has seized the funds for the Freedom Convoy 2022 fundraiser that was intended to fund truckers standing up for Canadians’ human rights.
The left-wing crowdsourcing platform claimed that the “peaceful demonstration has become an occupation” now.
GoFundMe states that it is confiscating the money and sending it to “credible charities.” The platform does now have a message for people to “submit a request” to get their donations back.
“GoFundMe has now put the following statement on the Freedom Convoy 2022 fundraising page:
- GoFundMe supports peaceful protests and we believe that was the intention of the Freedom Convoy 2022 fundraiser when it was first created.
- We now have evidence from law enforcement that the previously peaceful demonstration has become an occupation, with police reports of violence and other unlawful activity.
To ensure GoFundMe remains a trusted platform, we work with local authorities to ensure we have a detailed, factual understanding of events taking place on the ground. Following a review of relevant facts and multiple discussions with local law enforcement and city officials, this fundraiser is now in violation of our Terms of Service (Term 8, which prohibits the promotion of violence and harassment) and has been removed from the platform.
Organizers provided a clear distribution plan for the initial $1M that was released earlier this week and confirmed funds would be used only for participants who traveled to Ottawa to participate in a peaceful protest. Given how this situation has evolved, no further funds will be directly distributed to the Freedom Convoy organizers — we will work with organizers to send all remaining funds to credible and established charities chosen by the Freedom Convoy 2022 organizers and verified by GoFundMe.
All donors may submit a request for a full refund until February 19th, 2022 using this dedicated refund form.”
GoFundMe had paused the fundraising page for the Freedom Convoy 2022 on Wednesday.
“This fundraiser is currently paused and under review to ensure it complies with our terms of service and applicable laws and regulations,” a notice at the top of the convoy’s GoFundMe page read. “Our team is working 24/7 and doing all we can to protect both organizers and donors. Thank you for your patience.”
“Before being suspended, the GoFundMe page for the Freedom Convoy 2022 made more than $10.1 million since having been established on Jan. 14,” Fox News reported. “That amount far exceeded the amount raised by Canada’s major political parties last quarter.”
A new platform has now stepped up to replace the crowdsourcing platform.

The unconscionable seizing of the Freedom Convoy’s funds follows peaceful protests, which the Ottawa Police and other authorities attempted to paint as an ‘insurrection.’
“The hatred, violence, and illegal acts that #Ottawa residents and businesses have endured over the last week are unacceptable in any circumstance and City of Ottawa are bringing significantly greater resources to restore order, hold offenders to account and protect our neighborhoods,” the Ottawa Police claimed.
“The current occupation of the Parliamentary Precinct remains unresolved despite significant success in reducing the number of trucks/demonstrators while preventing riots, injuries and death,” the Ottawa Police continued. “We take no solace in these operational successes. The demonstrators in this red zone area remain highly organized, well-funded, and extremely committed to resisting efforts to end the demonstration safely.”
“This remains a very volatile and very dangerous demonstration… [Ottawa Police] continues to work national security agencies, the @RCMP, the @OPP and other police agencies,” it added. “We’re also working with all three levels of government to affect a safe, timely and lawful end to this unlawful and unacceptably dangerous demonstration.”
This is the demonstration the Ottawa Police were talking about:

GoFundMe’s act prompted a #BoycottGoFundMe hashtag, as well as ridicule towards the crowdsourcing platform that funded Black Lives Matter riots that caused over $2 billion in damages, and led to dozens of deaths.
GoFundMe is the worst fking platform.
They freeze the trucker convoy's campaign because it "doesn't follow their terms of service/the law"
But BLM – who burned up cities for 3 months – could campaign there as much as they like?
I hate this clown world.

.@GoFundMe allowed money to go to bailing violent BLM rioters out of jail… but now denies the peaceful Freedom Convoy their funds… stop using this leftist trash and demand refunds.

GoFundMe seizing over $10 million in funding from the Freedom Convoy to give to a charity of its own choosing like Black Lives Matter should be a redpill moment for the public. They did this at the advice of the Canadian government and with the assent of the mainstream media.

Unlike the Trucker Convoy, BLM had the backing of GoFundMe, the banks, governments, corporations, Hollywood, the press, and Big Tech.
And all they have to show for it is a three mansions for BLM’s founder, 25 murdered Americans, and a scores of burned down cities.

At the request of Trudeau, @GoFundMe has just stolen $9,000,000 from the truckers. Rather than automatically refunding it to the donors, they say they’re going to give it to groups of their own choosing. What a windfall for Black Lives Matter, Greenpeace and Planned Parenthood! pic.twitter.com/prEwLnypfe

GiveSendGo’s alternative fundraiser has been overwhelmed due to the volume of support.
Do not ever use GoFundMe. Use @GiveSendGo.

Journalist Greg Price notes all of the actions GoFundMe has taken that are contrary to people’s rights and freedoms.
Fundraisers GoFundMe has now banned:
– Canadian truckers
– Kyle Rittenhouse legal defense
– Conservative students who were harassed at ASU
– Parents targeted by Loudoun County schools— Greg Price (@greg_price11) February 5, 2022
A protest is now being organized on Telegram to support Freedom Truckers by protesting at GoFundMe’s headquarters.

Ottawa Police Chief Peter Sloly recently said that “every single option” is being considered to end the “intolerable, unprecedented” protests against immoral vaccine mandates and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. That must now includes treating peaceful protesters like ‘insurrectionists’ in order to uphold the authoritarian policies of the failed Canadian regime.
