A Democratic Congressman Allegedly Made a Mask Complaint About National Guard Troops Before They Were Moved to a Garage

Reports that thousands of National Guard troops were moved from the Capitol building to a parking garage sparked national outrage.

“Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service. Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage. We feel incredibly betrayed,” one Guardsman told Politico.

There was widespread condemnation throughout the nation’s capitol, as actual journalism is wont to provoke. Democrats lined up to decry the move after some accused this of being the new normal for “Biden’s America.” One Congressman, freshman Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorne, even brought the troops pizza and thanked them for their service.

We apparently know the name of the Congressman who may have started it all: Democratic Rep. Will Keating (D-MA). According to a Breitbart News report:

National Guard troops were forced to evacuate the Capitol building grounds on Thursday and hang out in parking garages, allegedly after a Democrat congressman complained about one National Guard member not wearing a mask at a cafe in the building.

According to a source, Rep. Will Keating (D-MA) reported to the Capitol building authorities earlier in the day that a National Guardsman was seen in a Dunkin Donuts without a mask on.

Below is a photo of Keating thanking National Guard troops for their service.

Breitbart News reached out to Keating’s press secretary but did not hear back immediately.
