After Earlier Calling Reports ‘Garbage’, Biden Confirms Obscene Plan to Pay Illegal Aliens as Much as $450K Each

After earlier calling such reports ‘garbage,’ President Biden on Saturday confirmed his administration’s plans to pay illegal immigrants as much as $450,000 each for family separations that occurred under the Trump administration.

“Mr. President, I’d like to ask real quick sir, you said last week that this report about migrant families at the border getting payments was ‘garbage’,” Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked.

“No, I did not say that,” he claimed. “You said everybody coming across the border gets $450,000.”

“It was the number you had a problem with?” he said.

“It was the number I referred to,” he went on. “Now here’s the thing. If in fact because of the outrageous behavior of the last administration, you coming across the border whether it’s legal or illegal and you lost your child, you lost your child, they’re gone, you deserve some kind of compensation. No matter what the circumstance is. What that will be, I have no idea. I have no idea.”

“The Wall Street Journal first reported last week that the administration was contemplating a payment of roughly $450,000 per person for separated migrant parents and children,” the Hill reported. “Multiple news outlets later confirmed the Journal’s reporting.”

The proposed payments to illegal aliens would come at the same time that the Biden administration proposes to raise taxes on working class Americans.

“The Democrats’ radical reconciliation bill is raising taxes on the American people as President Biden plans to dole out $450,000 checks to illegal immigrants,” a spokesperson for GOP leader McCarthy told Becker News. “Instead of solving the Biden border crisis, Democrats want to literally pay people to break our laws.”

Biden earlier lied during the presidential campaign that illegal alien family separations did not occur under the Obama administration.

“We didn’t lock people up in cages, we didn’t separate families,” he claimed during a 2019 Democratic primary debate.

The Obama administration did indeed separate the families of illegal aliens in certain cases, according to CNN.

“Children were also placed in cages in some cases under the Obama administration, and Obama-era images of children in such structures have been mislabeled as occurring under the Trump administration on several occasions,” the Hill pointed out.

Even if the Biden administration’s revised payments ran into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, they would far exceed the payments doled out to Gold Star Families who lost sons and daughters fighting for America in foreign wars, including the 13 brave service members who were lost defending Kabul during Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.

“The death gratuity is a lump-sum payment made by the DOD to the survivors or other individuals identified by the service member prior to his or her death while on active duty, active duty for training, inactive duty for training or within 120 days of release from active duty if the death is due to a service-related disability,” Military One Source notes. “The amount of death gratuity is $100,000 and is tax exempt.”

Rep. Tom McClintock’s (CA-04) proposed legislation, H.R. 5854, called the Illegal Immigration Payoff Prohibition Act, which would have blocked the Biden administration’s taxpayer-funded payments to illegal aliens.

“Last week our nation was stunned by the revelation that the Biden administration is about to use our tax dollars to pay thousands of illegal immigrants $450,000 a piece and up to a million dollars per family,” Rep. McClintock said on the House floor.

221 Democrats voted against the proposal to block the payments to illegal aliens.
