The independent forensic audit in Maricopa County has a ballot count that diverges from the official count that was certified in the 2020 election.
The Audit War Room account on Twitter said about the ballot count that the numbers of “do not match.”
Arizona Senate President Karen Fann announced the disparity in an interview Tuesday.
“They haven’t released a number yet, if you will, however we do know that those numbers do not match with Maricopa County at this point,” Fann told KTAR.
Fann responded to a question about the size of the discrepancy by saying: “I do not know. They have not told me the number.”
“Fann said the approximately 2.1 million ballots are being recounted by ‘independent machines’ before the Senate returns them to the custody of Maricopa County,” KTAR said of the interview. Fann added that they were “not Dominion’s, separate ones.”
“President Joe Biden won Arizona by more than 10,000 votes out of more than 3.3 million cast across the state,” Chaitin added for background. “His lead of roughly 2 percentage points was due partly to his advantage in Maricopa County, where the Democrat scored nearly 45,000 more votes than former President Donald Trump.”
The Democrats have argued that the Arizona audit is a partisan endeavor backed by Trump supporters and funded by dark money. The audit’s defenders respond that the independent audit, led by Cyber Ninjas, is necessary because Maricopa County refused to cooperate with the Arizona Senate.
Pennsylvania has followed suit and has launched a forensic investigation of its own controversial state election in 2020. The state’s move was met with denunciation by President Biden, who flew to Philadelphia on Tuesday to give a speech railing against such audits; meanwhile, former president Donald Trump argued that Biden should, “let the forensic audit go.”
The report accompanies further questions about the Fulton County audit that is being conducted after a Henry County judge unsealed the ballots. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson said he had more evidence of Fulton County ‘fraud’ forthcoming in a special on Wednesday night.
