Biden Administration Duped by China, Now Preparing to Send ‘Lethal Aid’ to Russia for War Against Ukraine

The Biden administration is being duped by China. Time and time again, the superpower has played the United States, and the current president seems unwilling or unable to oppose its transgressions.

The U.S. proxy war against Russia is now poised to escalate drastically with reports that China is preparing to send ‘lethal aid’ to Putin for his military campaign against Ukraine.

The New York Times appeared to be blindsided by the development in a breathless editorial chiding the Communist Chinese Party (CCP) for reigniting the Cold War.

“Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken says Washington has indications that Beijing is strongly considering giving military aid to Moscow for the war in Ukraine,” the New York Times reported.

“When the top foreign policy officials from the United States and China appeared this weekend at Europe’s premier global security conference, both stressed that their governments were not seeking a new Cold War,” the report continued.

“Yet, new warnings by U.S. officials that China may be preparing to give weapons and ammunition to Russia ‌for its war on Ukraine portend the worst of the old Cold War,” the report added. “In that decades-long shadow struggle, the United States, the Soviet Union and occasionally China poured military resources into protracted wars around the globe, engaging in bloody proxy conflicts from Korea to Vietnam to Afghanistan.”

The report hinges in part on the warnings being given by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who told Margaret Brennan on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” that China is prepared to give ‘lethal aid’ to Russia.

“There is a open source reporting that Chinese companies are providing surveillance equipment to that mercenary group The Wagner group fighting in Ukraine. Does the US consider this to be providing military support to Russia?” Brennan asked.

“We have been concerned from day one about that possibility,” Blinken replied. “In fact, if you go back to the very first conversations that President Biden and President Xi had about Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, just a couple of weeks into the war President Biden shared with with President Xi our deep concern about the possibility China would provide lethal support to Russia in this effort, as well as engage in the systematic evasion of sanctions.”

“And the reason for that concern was just weeks before the aggression, you’ll remember President Xi and President Putin had a meeting in which they just talked about a ‘partnership with no limits’,” Blinken continued. “And we were concerned that among those lack of limits would be Chinese support for Russia and the war. We’ve been watching this very closely to date.”

“We have seen Chinese companies, and of course in China, there’s really no distinction between private companies and the state,” Blinken said. “We have seen them provide non-lethal support to Russia for use in Ukraine. The concern that we have now, is based on information we have, that they’re considering providing lethal support, and we’ve made very clear to them that that would cause a serious problem for us and in our relationship,” he added.

Brennan pressed Blinken on what ‘lethal support’ would mean, and the Secretary of State affirmed that this could include weapons and ammunition.

In the interview, the Secretary of State revealed that the United States is not only being betrayed by China, but by Iran.

“Provided we’ve seen Iran provide drones that Russia’s using in Ukraine to attack civilian infrastructure, to kill civilians,” Blinken said. “This is something that’s been going on for months. we’ve been working to expose that, to take action against it, to sanction it. There’s an increasingly noxious relationship between Russia and Iran and it’s actually a two-way street. Not only is Iran providing this this equipment to Russia, but Russia is also providing military equipment to Iran, including, it looks like, sophisticated fighter planes.”

“That’s something that looks like it may be happening which would make Iran an even greater threat if it acquires that technology,” Blinken continued. “So this is something that we’ve been talking about with allies and partners around the world.”

In 2015, the Obama administration unilaterally entered into the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which purportedly established a regime to monitor Iranian nuclear energy programs for weapons application and development.  It was reported on Sunday that international atomic inspectors last week discovered that Iran has “accumulated uranium enriched to levels just shy of what is needed for a nuclear weapon,” according to a new report. The Biden presidency had been strongly considering re-entering the JCPOA retracted under former President Donald Trump, as recently as April 2021.

Thus, the Biden administration was not only duped by China, but by Iran. There is now a danger of the Russia-Ukraine war turning into a full-fledged war between two sides armed with nuclear weapons.

On one side: Russia, Iran, China, and North Korea. On the other side: the United States, NATO and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Russian navy has placed its nuclear submarines on a ‘high-state of combat readiness‘ and will be conducting naval exercises in the Baltic Sea amid President Biden’s visit to Poland. Russia has also moved its strategic bombers closer to Ukraine, according to reports.

The War in Ukraine is escalation dramatically. The world can only hope that events won’t spiral out-of-control, as they did in the First World War. The fallout from military and dipomatic miscalculation this time could set into motion a chain of events that ends in the biggest atrocity in human history. After that, there will be no going back.
