President Joe Biden managed to take some questions from the press after a whirlwind few days where he signed at least 30 executive orders. At the press conference, he does something truly bizarre — as if he suddenly recognized that he was being a hypocrite and half-heartedly tried to cover it up.
Biden took five questions at the direction of his aides before pointing at Fox News’ Peter Doocy, who recently embarrassed the White House. Doocy had pointed out that Biden had gone maskless on federal property after issuing a mask mandate that made it forbidden.
Biden nonetheless pulled an audible after his aides seemed to have ended the presser.
Biden takes one more question, after aides ended the press conference. He points to and calls on Peter Doocy of Fox. “He always asks the tough questions. I know he has an edge to him,” Biden says.

“He always asks the tough questions. I know he has an edge to him,” the president said and pointed to Doocy.
This is where it gets a bit strange. Doocy asks Biden about his recent remarks on the pandemic and the new administration’s vaccine targets.
After taking five pre-selected questions from reporters, Biden calls an audible and takes a question from Fox's Peter Doocy because "he always has an edge to them, but I like him anyway."

“So, you just said that you think that three weeks or so we will be at the point where there are a million vaccines a day…” the reporter asked.
“No, I think we will get there before that,” Biden interjected. “I said, I hope, I mispoke, I hope we will be able to increase as we go on until we get to the million-five per day. That’s my expectation — my hope.”
“And then, the follow-up to that would be, now that you are president and you’re saying ‘there is nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months.’ What happened to two months ago when you were talking declaratively about ‘I am going to shut down the virus’?” Doocy followed up.
Biden gives a long-winded response, effectively doubling down that he would “shut down the virus” but that he never said it was going to take “two months.” One of the things Biden says reminds us that the timing of the coronavirus data declines is odd, to say the least.
“We are, just for the first day, I think, correct me if I’m wrong, I have been doing other things, this morning, speaking with foreign leaders,” he said, “but one of the things I think, this is one of the first days that the numbers actually have come down, the number of deaths and the number, on a daily basis, and the number of hospitalizations, etcetera.”
When Biden goes onto the topic of ‘mass disregard of the warnings of wearing masks and not wearing masks’ that is when a dim lightbulb appears to go off and he actually pulls a mask up to his face and puts it on — as if to acknowledge he himself is not complying with his own mask mandate!
How can the president issue edicts that he himself is not complying with? What kind of message does that send Americans? Watch:
You simply cannot make this stuff up. Truly bizarre.
