Biden Scrapped Trump’s 1776 Commission, But the Former President Has Bad News for America-Haters

One of the first actions by incoming President Biden was to scrap the “1776 Commission,” which was an initiative by former President Trump to restore respect for American history. The White House’s advisers issued a 1776 report that described the commission’s guiding principles.

“The declared purpose of the President’s Advisory 1776 Commission is to ‘enable a rising generation to understand the history and principles of the founding of the United States in 1776 and to strive to form a more perfect Union’,” the report said. “This requires a restoration of American education, which can only be grounded on a history of those principles that is ‘accurate, honest, unifying,
inspiring, and ennobling’. And a rediscovery of our shared identity rooted in our founding principles is the path to a renewed American unity and a confident American future.”

Apparently, this was too controversial a mission for the progressives who hate America’s founding, the freedom of Americans to live their own lives, and the Constitutionally limited government that restrains them from carrying out their authoritarian agenda. That is why Biden’s advisers did away with the commission almost immediately.

Now, Donald Trump is bringing the commission back. And the commission has even more on its plate, including tackling the Marxist Critical Race Theory that is spreading like a poison throughout America’s education system.

“Members of the 1776 Commission, which President Joe Biden disbanded on his first day in White House, are reportedly set to meet again with a renewed focus on combating the teaching of U.S. history based on the Marxist critical race theory,” the Epoch Times reported.

“The advisory commission was established by the Trump administration in November 2020 to celebrate and promote the principles enshrined in the nation’s founding documents,” the reported noted. “It is commonly seen as a response to The New York Times’ controversial 1619 Project, which argues that the United States was founded as, and remains today, a racist nation.”

“In an interview with Washington Examiner, Spalding said that members of the 1776 Commission will convene next week in Washington on the campus of Hillsdale College,” the report added. “One of their topics will be critical race theory, which sees racism in all aspects of American life.”

“When we start going about dividing people by groups, by social identities, and especially by identities that deal with race, and we’re starting to make those kinds of divisions, all Americans should get very nervous,” Spalding said. “It’s a departure away from the historic grounding of civil rights in America, which is that we all are equal.”

Donald Trump is not abandoning the fight for America’s freedom and founding principles. If that means he has to effectively form a shadow government to do the job the Biden administration should be doing, namely, reminding Americans of the greatness of the nation and its founding principles, so be it.
