CNN Trashes Biden for ‘Total About Face’ on Drone Strike That Killed 10 Innocent Civilians, Not ISIS-K Terrorists

On Thursday, the truth finally came out. After the Biden administration lied repeatedly about a drone strike in Kabul that killed ten innocent civilians, and not ten ISIS-K terrorists as was claimed earlier, General Kenneth McKenzie confessed to the terrible ‘mistake.’

“It is further my assessment that the strike team were convinced at the time of the strike that the area was clear of civilians and that they had taken prudent steps in regards to weaponeering the strike to minimize the potential for civilian casualties,” General McKenzie said. “Finally, it is my assessment that they did believe, as reported, that there was a secondary explosion. Our investigation now concludes that the strike was a tragic mistake.”

“First, I will stress this was not a rushed strike,” the general continued. “The strike cell deliberately followed and observed this vehicle and its occupants for eight hours while cross-checking what they were seeing, all available intelligence to develop a reasonable certainty of the imminent threat that this vehicle posed to our forces.”

“Second, while the initial reports indicated a secondary explosion, the initial investigation could only conclude that it was a possible to probable presence of external accelerants that could include either explosive material in the vehicle or an ignition of the gas tank of the vehicle,” he added. “Subsequent analysis could not rule out the presence of a small amount of explosive material but determined that the most likely cause was ignition of gas from a propane tank located immediately behind the car.”

As earlier reported, ten innocent civilians were killed in the drone strike based on Taliban-sourced ‘disinformation.’  The August 29 drone strike aimed to disrupt a purported ISIS-K attack on Kabul airport, but actually killed a U.S. aid worker named Zemari Ahmadi and his family, including seven children. However, a Pentagon source confirmed exclusively to Becker News that the intelligence sources the military acted upon trace back to an unreliable tip from the Taliban. The Taliban tipped off U.S. intelligence as a part of a disinformation operation to frame the United States as an unreliable ally for remaining Afghan resisters and to serve as a recruitment tool.

The Biden administration launched the drone strikes in the aftermath of suicide bombings near Kabul airport which killed 13 Marines, as Becker News broke first. The Biden administration called the alleged terrorists “high profile,” but refused to name them. CNN’s Jake Tapper excoriated the administration for lying to the American public.

“This is a total about-face from the Pentagon’s initial denial they got anything wrong days after the attack,” Tapper said. He showed video of Gen. Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, saying on September 1 this was “a righteous strike.”

“No longer so righteous,” Tapper remarked. The CNN report then made the claim the Pentagon targeted ‘the wrong vehicle.’

The Pentagon’s John Kirby also confessed to the alleged ‘war crime’ on Friday.

“Things that I said obviously have not turned out to be correct. It was done in as good faith and effort as possible to be as transparent as we could with what we knew at the time,” Kirby claim.

Jake Tapper actually makes a good point: If the Biden administration hadn’t been caught red-handed due to independent reporting, would it have even admitted to the ‘mistake’? Knowing how many lies this White House has told and has gotten away with scot-free, the answer would be an obvious ‘no.’
