Damien Grant of Peoria, Illinois has been arrested and charged with six counts of threatening federal officials, most pre-eminently, former President Donald Trump.
Grant has been charged with “three counts of influencing a federal official by threat, two counts of mailing threatening communications, and one count of threatening the President of the United States,” the Department of Justice said in a press release. “The indictment was returned Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Peoria. Arraignment has not yet been scheduled.”
“And the moment you walk out of office, I’m going to have you shot! Right in your (expletive) head,” Grant reportedly wrote to Trump in a December 22nd letter.
Grant also allegedly warned that someone might blow up the Central District courthouse, which was a threat against a federal judge and a U.S. Attorney for the Central District of Illinois.
“You have 2 days to drop all charges and investigations against me or im going to make sure you never see Christmas… I might have someone walk in the Court House and blow all you evil [expletive] to pieces,” Grant wrote.
“The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois upon recusal by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of Illinois,” the DOJ reported.
“The defendant is presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial at which the government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt,” the Justice Department adds. “The charge of threatening the President carries a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison, while each of the other counts in the indictment is punishable by up to ten years.”
The Democratic Party insists that right-wing extremism is a rising threat in America. This dominant media narrative ignores ongoing riots in Seattle, Portland, and other Democrat-run cities that have ravaged cities since last May. Those riots have dealt urban communities billions of dollars in damages and killed at least 12 innocent people.
The media is also attempting to frame Trump supporters for a spike in “hate crimes” against Asians. Most of the highest-profile cases have been committed by Black Americans or by suspects who have not been shown to have committed their crimes due to bias against Asian Americans.
