Geraldo Rivera Sets Up Former AG Barr to Trash Donald Trump’s ‘Fitness as President’

In remarks at the City Club of Cleveland in Ohio on Friday, former Attorney General Barr trashed his former boss President Donald Trump.

The former top official at the Justice Dept. replied to Fox News’s Geraldo Rivera who asked if Donald Trump was ‘fit to be president.’

“If you believe in his policies, what he’s advertising is his policies, he’s the last person who could actually execute them and achieve them,” he added.

“He does not have the discipline,” Barr also said. “He does not have the ability for strategic thinking and linear thinking or setting priorities or how to get things done in the system.”

“It is a horror show, you know, when… he’s left to his own devices,” Barr said.

“And, and so you may want his policies. But Trump will not deliver Trump policies,” Barr continued.

“He will deliver chaos, and if anything lead to a backlash that will set his policies much further back than they otherwise would be.”

William Barr previously served as attorney general in the George H. W. Bush administration before holding the same position for President Donald Trump from 2019 until 2020.

This is not the first time that Barr has gone after Trump. After it was revealed that Barr obstructed investigations into alleged election fraud during the 2020 election, Trump blasted his former attorney general.

“Bill Barr was a disappointment in every sense of the word,” Trump said. “Besides which, Barr, who was Attorney General (lawyer) shouldn’t be speaking about the President.”

“Instead of doing his job, he did the opposite and told people within the Justice Department not to investigate the election,” Trump said. “Just like he did with the Mueller report and … RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA, they don’t want to investigate the real facts. Bill Barr’s weakness helped facilitate the cover up of the Crime of the Century,” he added.
