Jen Psaki Reacts to Report a Fox News Reporter Has Been Wounded in Ukraine

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reacted to the report that Fox News reporter Benjamin Hall was wounded while on assignment in Ukraine. Watch:

“Let me first say, your colleague, Benjamin Hall, I know there’s not final reports yet, we would wait for your news organization to confirm those, but our thoughts, the President’s thoughts, our administration’s thoughts are with him, his family and all of you at Fox News as well,” Psaki said.

It’s rare to see a Biden official say anything so gracious about someone who is a part of a media network the administration disagrees with. Americans will take whatever rare moments of civility they can get out of a radical left-wing administration.

“In terms of specific actions, I think you have seen the President lead the world and taking — putting in place consequences, putting in place repercussions and steps in response to the actions of Russia, the brutal actions that have certainly impacted Ukrainian people and now have certainly impacted some Americans, but in terms of next steps or what the next consequence would be, I don’t have anything to preview for you at this point in time,” she added.

Fox News journalist Benjamin Hall was wounded in Kyiv on Monday, the network announced.

According to Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott’s statement, Hall was reporting outside Ukraine’s capital when he was injured, adding that the network had “a minimal level of detail” about how it happened.

Scott said that Hall was hospitalized, but she did not provide details on his condition.

“This is news that we hate to pass along to you, but it’s obviously what happens sometimes in the middle of a conflict,” Fox broadcaster John Roberts said to viewers. “We’re working as hard as possible to get the best information that we possibly can.”
