CNN’s President Jeff Zucker is resigning from the cable news network, “effective immediately.” The cable outlet just reported the news.
“CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker said Wednesday that he is resigning, effective immediately,” Brian Stelter reported.
Zucker said in a memo: “As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years. I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t. I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today.”
“Zucker did not name his colleague in the memo, but the relationship is with Allison Gollust, the chief marketing officer for CNN. Gollust is remaining at CNN,” he said.
“In an email to staffers sent shortly after Zucker’s, Jason Kilar, the CEO of CNN parent WarnerMedia, said” “I have accepted Jeff Zucker’s resignation as Chairman of WarnerMedia News and Sports, and President of CNN Worldwide. We thank Jeff for his contributions over the past 9 years.”
Kilar added: “We will be announcing an interim leadership plan shortly. Both of these organizations are at the top of their respective games and are well prepared for their next chapters.”
The real “bombshell” is that Zucker is resigning for yet another sex scandal at CNN, and not the network’s tanking ratings. CNN lost 90% of its ratings in the year since Trump left office.
The Zucker-led network has recently seen its share of disturbing sex scandals. Two high-ranking CNN producers resigned following scandals that both involved pedophilia. Rick Saleeby, who was a senior producer for CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” is under criminal investigation following a Project Veritas investigation that alleged that Saleeby “solicited sexually explicit photos of an underage girl,” Breitbart reported.
“John Griffin, who worked as a senior producer on Chris Cuomo’s show, was arrested this month on child sex trafficking charges,” the report added. “He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include allegations that he used Kik and Google Hangout to ‘persuade parents to allow him to train their daughters to be sexually submissive’.”
Griffin actually “arranged for a nine-year-old girl to travel from Nevada to his Vermont residence where she was ‘directed to engage in, and did engage in, unlawful sexual activity’,” the report noted.
The Zucker and pedophilia scandals come on top of the Cuomo scandal, where its primetime host Chris Cuomo actively covered up and counseled his brother, disgraced governor Andrew Cuomo, on how to handle credible multiple accusations of sexual misconduct. Chris Cuomo was later fired.
There is something seriously wrong with the mainstream media, and CNN is possibly the most toxic network of all. When it comes to some of America’s ‘most trusted’ journalists, it appears theirs is too often a case of ‘sex, lies, and videotape.’
