President Biden met with senior defense advisers on Wednesday, including Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.
The meeting with the high-ranking defense officials comes amidst escalating tensions with China over a potential invasion of Taiwan.
As the meeting closed, reporters tried to question President Biden about the volatile situation, but his staff shouted them down. Watch:
Biden has consistently avoided taking unscripted questions from reporters while in office. While overseas for the G20 summit in March, the president repeatedly dodged taking questions.
Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich reported that the White House staff kept Biden shielded from the press.
“Pooled press attempts to ask President Biden a question as he walks to G7 leaders photo op with Japanese PM,” Heinrich reported. “White House official swats press away, saying ‘no no no no no’.”

When the president arrived in Belgium, reporters hurled questions at the president, but he promptly ignored them.
It was also reported that Biden is the only world leader “who has not stopped to speak to press so far.”

The Biden White House’s attitude towards the American people can be summed up like this: “Just obey orders and don’t ask any questions.” This hostile relationship with the public is not sustainable.
