Watch: Joe Biden Completely Flubs the Name of His Supreme Court Pick

President Joe Biden approves of his Supreme Court pick, presumably because she checks the box of being a ‘black female.’ Unfortunately, Biden doesn’t seem to have much of a grasp of his choice, beginning with her name.

“And of course we see another first in the nomination of Ketanji, well, you saw her, I guess you saw Justice Brown, uh, Justice Brown Jackson, who is on the Circuit Court of Appeals right now.”

The name would be Ketanji Brown Jackson. She is a 51-year-old Harvard graduate who was confirmed recently as a federal appeals judge in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The nation’s likely first female black justice has a long anti-Trump record of rulings on the judicial circuit. She ruled against Trump in his “attempt to block the release of records from his White House related to Jan. 6, 2021.”

She ruled against the Trump administration’s attempt to shield former White House counsel Don McGahn from testifying before Congress under executive privilege, writing that “presidents are not kings.”

“Several of Jackson’s rulings were overturned by a higher court, including those on Trump’s attempt to fast-track deportations and executive orders constraining government unions’ power,” Politico noted, adding, “Jackson was the judge who sentenced the ‘Pizzagate’ conspiracy theorist who shot inside a D.C. restaurant to four years in prison.”

Jackson is a favorite of the Congressional Black Caucus, and Senators Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski had earlier confirmed her to a D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals judgeship last year. She thus will likely sail into the Supreme Court without a major fight. Even if President Biden barely knows her name.
