Watch Kamala Harris’s ‘Two-Faced’ Reaction to Meeting Press Moments Before Speaking to Americans on Afghanistan

Kamala Harris had a two-faced reaction to meeting the press moments before departing to Singapore for an official tour of southeast Asia on Saturday night.

As she approached the press, the Vice President’s demeanor morphed before she addressed reporters on the dire situation in Afghanistan.

“What are your reports on Americans…?” a reporter shouted over the engine noise.

“Hold on, hold on,” Kamala Harris brushed her off with a cocksure smile. “Hold on everybody,” she said and laughed.

“I want to talk about two things,” she said. “First, Afghanistan.”

“We couldn’t have a higher priority right now,” she said in a sobering tone. “In particular, our priority is making sure that we safely evacuate American citizens. Afghans who worked with us. Afghans at-risk, including women and children. And that is one of our highest, if not our highest priority right now.”

The vice president cheerfully laughing before talking about Afghanistan being one of its ‘highest priorities’ on the way to tour southeast Asia, including Singapore and Vietnam, belies that the Biden administration doesn’t grasp how deadly serious the matter is for millions of Americans.

Americans are still in harm’s way in Afghanistan. The State Department issued a warning on Saturday to Americans to stay away from Kabul airport unless directed by U.S. authorities. There are intelligence reports of ISIS terrorists targeting Americans, and even that the Taliban has beaten Americans who are trying to escape the wartorn country.

If evacuating Americans and Afghan allies was the Biden administration’s “highest priority,” it would have evacuated them ahead of U.S. military troops in Afghanistan. Now, there are an unknown number of Americans at-risk, according to the administration’s own admission.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump had plenty to say on the matter at a rally in Cullman, Alabama on Saturday night.

“This was not a withdrawal,” Trump said. “This was a total surrender.”

“Biden failed totally on the pandemic and he is now overseeing the greatest foreign policy humiliation in the history of the United States of America,” Trump continued. “This is the greatest humiliation I have ever seen.”

“Biden’s botched exit in Afghanistan is the most astonishing display of gross incompetence by a nation’s leader perhaps at any time that anyone has ever seen,” he said. “Name another situation like this.”

“Vietnam looks like a master class in strategy compared to Joe Biden’s catastrophe,” Trump went on. “And it didn’t have to happen. All he had to do was leave the soldiers there until everything’s out. Our citizens. Our weapons. Then you bomb the hell out of the bases. We have five bases. And then we say, bye bye.”

On her southeast Asia trip, Kamala Harris will have to contend with the disastrous fallout of the Afghanistan withdrawal that she signed off on as “the last person in the room.” It might help if she could do so without laughing at their serious concerns.
