The mainstream media have been doing their utmost to frame tens of millions of law-abiding, peace-loving Americans who voted for Donald Trump as “insurrectionists,” “white supremacists,” and “domestic terrorists.”
Here is a sample of some of the hateful, dishonest stories that demonstrate the dangerous smear job: “The insurrectionist next door: A new source of suburban unease” (WaPo); “Militia Expert Warns Trump’s Capitol Insurrectionists Could Try Again” (Scientific American); “The attack on the Capitol was a predictable culmination of a months-long ferment” (New Yorker); “Disqualifying Insurrectionists and Rebels: A How-To Guide” (Lawfare Blog); “Much To Washingtonians’ Concern, Trump Insurrectionists Are Staying At D.C. Airbnbs” (WAMU)… the examples are virtually endless.
Infamously, former CIA Director John Brennan went on MSNBC and said the new administration was “moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about” the pro-Trump “insurgency” that includes “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.”
Not included in Brennan’s list were the hundreds of communist Antifa agitators who are provably wreaking havoc across the country.
But in their outright contempt for Americans who dared to vote against the left’s preferred candidate and for backing objections in the Electoral College due to unlawful election changes (similarly to how Democrats themselves objected to elections in 2000, 2004 and 2016), the mainstream media are ignoring the widespread violent protests taking place right now in cities across the country.
The most prominent case of this were the “J20” protests, which literally took place on Biden’s Inauguration Day. There was widespread criminal activity and the mainstream media is severely downplaying who was involved. This is from The Independent:
On 20 January, 2017, thousands of people poured into Washington DC to protest Donald Trump’s inauguration. Nearly half a million people brandished signs and shouted slogans for the Women’s March. Thousands of protesters sparked up joints for a “Trump 420” protest in Dupont Circle. And hundreds marched in an anti-capitalist, anti-fascist rally organized by Disrupt J20.
Only the participants in the latter, however, now face up to 60 years in prison for their actions. Nearly 200 participants in the Disrupt J20 protest have been charged felony rioting. Among them are journalists, nurses, and dozens of others who say they did nothing illegal.
If these were Trump supporters, this would be the wall-to-wall top story being blasted out on every mainstream media outlet. Instead of condemnation, however, there is a blatant excuse that is being put out for this rioting, an excuse being denied the peaceful protesters that were caught up in the chaos of the pre-planned Capitol siege. Quote via The Independent:
Scott Michelman, a senior staff attorney at the ACLU of the District of Columbia, told The Independent that the case poses a threat to American’s First Amendment rights.
“There is a serious potential that these prosecutions will have a chilling effect on future protestors who will be scared to use their First Amendments rights,” Mr Michelman said. “…Other protestors are going to starting wondering whether they are safe from police and from prosecutors.”
Mr Michelin said the core issue in the case is whether one can be punished for simply attending a march in which illegal activity occurred. The question, he said, “is whether the people who were simply swept up in the police roundup had an intent to break the law… or whether they were simply exercising their First Amendment rights.”
The disparity in treatment is absolutely surreal. This would be bad enough if it was simply a one-off. But America has seen sustained massive rioting across a number of Democrat-run cities since the Inauguration. An “insurrection” of sorts.
The scene turned violent and confrontational:

There were two #antifa riots in Portland on Inauguration Day. The evening riot outside the @ICEgov resulted in 7 arrests. Around 150 antifa came in riot gear & brandished batons & rocks. Police seized guns, batons & knives from rioters. #PortlandRiots https://t.co/XWU0f5rAKG pic.twitter.com/OXDFN0azh5

Despite the violent left-wing riots that have been going on since at least January 18th, the media have been burying their threat to America’s domestic tranquility. The Biden administration, incidentally, has not lifted a finger about it, although it is reportedly compiling names of insurrectionists and vowing to fight “domestic terrorists.” Well, they’re right in front of the Biden administration’s face, and it appears they are doing nothing about it.
Let’s not forget the reason that domestic terrorism has been in the news: Because of the objections in the Electoral College supposedly being a match for a tinder box of latent Trump supporter extremism. A Legal Insurrection article does a great job laying bare the absurd blindness to the Democratic Party’s own track record:
In the aftermath of the Capitol riots, Democrats and the mainstream media have done some pretty great flip flops on several fronts.
They rushed to blame Republicans who voiced objections to some of the electoral votes for allegedly “inciting” Trump supporters to storm the Capitol. Republican House and Senate members who did so were labeled “seditionists” even though in 2001, 2005, and 2017, numerous House Democrats also raised objections to some electoral votes cast – including Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin, who Pelosi named last week as the lead impeachment manager.
The Capitol, beset by tens of thousands of National Guard troops, have been explained as necessary due to supposed threats from Trump “insurrectionists.” This threat, as left-wing websites were later forced to admit, never materialized; neither at the nation’s capitol, nor at capitols around the United States.
One Trump supporter was there this morning. He said he figured others would too. https://t.co/ScvJCreqlc

Nonetheless, it was recently announced that 5,000 National Guard troops will be maintaining a presence in Washington D.C.
“As we continue to work to meet the final post-inauguration requirements, the National Guard has been requested to continue supporting federal law enforcement agencies with 7,000 members and will draw down to 5,000 through mid-March,” Major Matt Murphy of the National Guard Bureau told The Epoch Times.
These thousands of National Guard troops don’t immediately seem necessary to defend the nation’s capitol from a hypothetical threat from predominately law-abiding Trump supporters. They need to be dispatched to major cities around the country facing left-wing violence and extremism taking place right now.
