Former President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he has been indicted on charges related to mishandling classified documents at his Florida estate. This development poses a significant legal challenge for Trump as he aims to make a comeback and pursue another presidential bid.

While the Justice Department has not yet made a public confirmation regarding the indictment, Trump made the announcement himself. Currently situated in Bedminster, New Jersey, the former president’s lawyers were reportedly contacted by prosecutors shortly before Trump revealed the news on his Truth Social platform.

“The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette, and which is ‘secured’ by only a garage door that is paper thin, and open much of the time,” he said.

“I have been summoned to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday, at 3 PM. I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States, who received far more votes than any sitting President in the History of our Country, and is currently leading, by far, all Candidates, both Democrat and Republican, in Polls of the 2024 Presidential Election. I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!” he continued.

“This is indeed a DARK DAY for the United States of America. We are a Country in serious and rapid Decline, but together we will Make America Great Again!” he added.

According to Trump, he is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon in Miami to address the charges brought against him. The specific details of the indictment and the potential consequences he may face remain undisclosed at this time. The situation continues to evolve, and further updates are expected as the legal proceedings unfold.

Trump himself confirmed the indictment during a statement made on Truth Social. He stated that his legal team had informed him of the charges.

At this point, the Justice Department has not released any official statement regarding the alleged indictment. The situation is still developing, and further details are yet to be disclosed.
